Switzerland’s oldest wooden chair and table manufacturer made an appearance at the Cologne furniture fair in 2014 once again. The presentation, which was conceived of by Studio Hannes Wettstein, shows an enormous chandelier made from chair seats, which generates a poetic staging for the chairs and tables. The combination of the products, which are precisely finished and presented in a museum fashion, with the romantic appearance of the installation from untreated wood captures the character of horgenglarus. It is a company that breathes life into products that are sometimes highly technically manufactured through handcraft.
