AUTUMNAL FOREST | exhibition | horgenglarus | 2008
The staging for the wooden chair and table manufacturer horgenglarus at Designers’ Saturday 2008 is like walking through an autumnal forest at dusk. Wooden slats used in the production of chair legs hang like delicate trees from the ceiling, forming a narrow path leading the visitor to a half-lit space with a scent of dry wood. There, over a floor covered in autumn leaves, 15 hanging wooden sculptures made from the shells of chairs glow. 10 installations from arm-rest and base elements create a poetic soundscape as they strike.
