SUN THREE | sundial | London | 2007

A collection of disjointed aluminium shapes lie in a semi-circular formation, rooted to the ground in a public park. The viewer is challenged to discover the intended point of view from which the forms will assume the appearance of precisely shaped numbers. On a sunny day the shadow cast by the viewer will fall on the appropriate number according to the correct time of day.

Material: Aluminium.
Size of the installation: 17m x 6m.
Exhibited at The Great Exhibition, London 2007

Design: Simon Husslein
