FRIEDRICH GLAUSER | exhibition | Strauhof | 2016
“Ce n’est pas très beau” - this is how Friedrich Glauser (1896–1938) ends his life story a year before his untimely death. Dada and morphine, psychiatric hospitals and the Foreign Legion, his own imprisonment and detective novels: life and work were closely intertwined with him. The exhibition traces the stages of Glauser's life and listens to the nuances of his writing. In addition, it creates spatial and atmospheric access to selected works such as “Gourrama”, “Wachtmeister Studer” or “Matto regiert”.
